When one is first venturing into the exciting world of Kratom it is important to understand that various doses produce a wide range of effects. With stimulation in lower amounts and sedation when consuming higher doses, it’s smart to know at what levels the effects truly differ. A small dose of two to six grams will typically induce stimulant-like effects. When increasing the dose to between seven and fifteen grams the effects will be of a medium strength while producing either a stimulating or sedative feeling. A further increase ranging from sixteen to twenty-five grams will create very intense sedative and euphoric effects that may be considered too strong for highly sensitive folks. Any more of a rise in dosage will provide extraordinarily strong effects that are far too over powering for most.
Do note that these levels are for Kratom leaves and not the more potent extracts. As with any substance, sensitivity varies greatly with every individual and it is vital to adjust dosage accordingly. Taken by itself, Kratom’s largest concern is falling asleep while engaged in potentially dangerous activity. Use common sense while under the influence and never climb behind the wheel of a car or place yourself in a dangerous situation. This herb shouldn’t be used too frequently, as it is never wise to abuse a good thing. Be safe when using Kratom and always have a pleasant time.

Kratom, otherwise known as Mitragyna Speciosa, is a medicinal leaf that is harvested from large trees found in Southeast Asia. It actually comes from the same family tree as coffee. For many years, the people of Southeast Asia have used the herbal drug as a stimulant, sedative, recreational drug, painkiller and treatment for opiate addiction. Kratom extract is said to have relaxing properties that ease the mind and energize the body while being consumed in small amounts. Kratom Powder Extract is standardized and guaranteed with a specific mitragynine content amount. The extract also acts as a psychedelic that can produce euphoric and stimulating effects.
In some places, like Thailand, Kratom leaves are chewed after removing the stringy central vein. However, the most common method involves crushing the leaves into a fine powder that can be mixed with fruit juice or tea and swallowed. Kratom can also be smoked, although it has no apparent advantages over digesting the leaves. In low doses, Kratom can have a stimulating effect whereas larger doses will be more sedating. Larger amounts of Kratom leaf extract can create sensations that last 4-6 hours. When used responsibly, Kratom is non-habit forming. There is virtually no risk of becoming dependent when Kratom is used occasionally. It’s recommend that people do not use Kratom more than once a week.
